What Remote .NET Launch Does
Launch a published .NET application on a Linux development host and stop at its first source breakpoint, directly from Rider.
- Reuse a saved SSH connection and review the host, files and command before uploading.
- Upload each build into a separate run directory and follow debugger preparation progress.
- Inspect startup code, variables and line-oriented application output in Rider's debugger.
- Cancel preparation and receive the original host and directory when remote termination cannot be confirmed.
Initial supported setup: Rider 2026.2 (262), Linux arm64 over SSH/SFTP, framework-dependent .NET 9 DLLs with portable PDBs. Runtime validation uses macOS arm64 Rider and a connected Remote Development client. Open the matching source solution and publish it before debugging. The upload limit is 32 MiB and 1000 files.
For disposable development hosts. Uploads are retained; no automatic build, cleanup, uncertain-launch retry or production service management. Closing the IDE does not prove remote processes stopped.
Paid plugin. Requires a JetBrains Marketplace license or trial. A Rider license is separate. Support: plugin@meanmail.dev.
